Insanity: Max 30 Journey Day 20 - Pulse

During the course of two months, I'd like to take you into my journey as I strive to retain a healthy lifestyle through a healthy balanced nutrition program and Beachbody trainer extraordinaire -- and Men's Health cover man -- Shaun T's brand new workout regimen Insanity Max 30.

Day 20: Pulse
After a long week, pulse was exactly what the doctor ordered. However, since I was under the impression that I may have eaten a little more than I should have -- even though further analysis of what I ate on a day-to-day basis proved my theory wrong -- I decided to double up Pulse with a little 10-minute ab attack.


Pulse, again, was aided by my precious daughter jumping into my arms as I did a handful of moves. She smiles ... me, not so much. After a struggle for about five minutes, she went on her merry way to color and I maxed out on my form with Shaun T for the next 15 minutes.


After the conclusion of Pulse, I popped in the Ab Attack workout and was thrown off completely by the routine. I didn't know what to expect. What it was: 10 minutes of plank and C-sit abs (one minute for each move). It was no walk in the park. My Max Out Time for the Ab Attack was 2 minutes and 12 seconds. It felt great to get in an extra workout though, especially with a holiday right around the corner.


Another week gone, and only one week remaining in the first month of my Max 30 Journey. Exciting times ahead! Next up: Rest.
